2016 HABs Forecast Summary
NOAA's National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science issued its fifth seasonal harmful algal bloom (HAB) forecast for western Lake Erie, predicting a moderate bloom for this summer.

Scientists, boaters make use of buoy

A high-tech buoy was placed eight miles offshore in Lake Erie in preparation for construction of a wind farm, but it’s proving to be a treasure trove of environmental information for boaters, fishermen and scientists.

Aquatic Invasive Species Control Workshop

Participants in this three-day Stone Lab workshop will learn to develop and implement Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point plans, which identify and control potential invasive species introductions via natural resource management and research activities.
