Community Connections is thrilled to partner with the First Tee in Little Rock to offer golf clinics for kids with special needs again this summer.  These are geared for children 7 and up and are free of charge. Kids can attend one or all 4 clinics.

Autism Connections (a local support group) meets the first Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. at Panera Bread on University Ave. It is an informal gathering for caregivers of children/adolescents with autism to discuss what is on their minds or any concerns. They now have a Conway branch that will start meeting in June. Check out them out on Facebook for more up to date information.

In an effort to promote the importance of higher education, Tiano O'Dell, PLLC is excited to announce its first-ever $1,000 scholarship opportunity for college students with autism. If you are interested click the link above to see all the details and to apply.

To be eligible, a participant must:

• Be graduating high school in 2016 or currently enrolled in an accredited technical school, college, or university in the U.S.;
• Be a U.S. citizen;
• Have a documented autism diagnosis; and
• Submit a 500+ word essay.

Camp Aldersgate creates life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs, enabling them to expand their worlds and express their unique voices. Camp offers programs such as Summer Medical Camps, Weekend Camps, Seniors Day Out, a Youth Volunteer Counselor program and Specialty Camps. These programs provide participants with one-of-a-kind camp experiences aimed to strengthen personal and social development, promote healthy lifestyles, enrich communities, and foster environmental awareness.
