Gateway Community Cafe
After just over seven months of doing a great job running the ROC Community Cafe, Shirley has now decided to move on. Shirley has taken up the opportunity to run a mobile cooking unit at Tesco in Wadebridge. We send our blessings for her new venture.
We are excited to share that Esther Pinder, who has been helping in the cafe for the past five months will be taking on the role of Manager. Esther will be bringing a fresh new menu and will be starting on 19th July. Please pray for Esther as she prepares to come in and pray that there will be plenty of opportunities to work with the community.
This does mean that the cafe will be shut from Monday 27th June to 18th July. All ROC activities will stop during this time, except for ROC Advice which will continue to take place on Monday mornings.
The Pickup's Leaving Party
Kevin, Teresa, Izzi, Rhys and Scarlett will soon be moving on to pastures new and will be leaving Launceston on 4th July. Over the past four years, Kevin and Teresa have worked tirelessly to help develop strong foundations for Gateway 2 New Life and we as a church have seen healthy growth in this time. We will be having a farewell party on Friday 1st July from 6.30pm within the ROC Hub. It is a bring and share and if you would like to find out any more, please contact Sally or John.
Green Fingered Gardeners Needed...
We are still in need of a volunteer or two who would be happy to give a few hours each week over the summer months to help tidy up the outside of the Gateway Centre. Tasks will include cutting the grass, clearing the weeds and pruning the bushes. Please let Kevin know if you are able to help.
