The article discusses the innovative collaboration among FAU, Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and Scripps Florida. Honors College Awards $15,000 in Research Scholarships

Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College awarded nearly $15,000 in scholarships to 10 students in support of their summer research at FAU and Scripps Florida. The summer research scholarship program encourages students to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by the FAU-Scripps-Max Planck Florida life science hub located at FAU’s John D. Jupiter Campus Library Receives Bravo Award

The Jupiter Campus Library team was presented the Bravo Award by the FAU Libraries for their commitment to research, art, scholarly publications and presentations. The award signifies their successful engagement on campus with exciting academic and scholarly activities. "This speaks to Department Head Ethan Allen’s dynamic, motivational leadership which encourages excellence from every single member of the team," said Carol Hixson, Ph.D., dean of the University Libraries.

Keene Lab Presents at Society for Research on Biological Rhythms Meeting

Alex Keene, Ph.D., associate professor, College of Science, FAU Jupiter, presented his speech, “The Lateral Line Confers Evolutionarily Derived Sleep Loss in the Mexican Cavefish” at the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms 2016 meeting in Palm Harbor, Florida. IBAN student Melissa Slocumb and postdoctoral fellow Bethany Stahl (pictured) presented posters at the meeting.
