​Saturday Play Club receives £200 boost
Accuro's Saturday Play Club has received £200 from the ladies of Inner Wheel Club in Saffron Walden.
The club's Play Leader, Cath Read, was delighted accept the cheque and a special new pink ‘Didicar’ for the children and young people to use at the club.
Cath said: "We are delighted that the Inner Wheel Club have chosen to give us a donation. We intend to use the money towards transport costs for an upcoming trip for the children and young people."
The ladies talked to the children and found out what they enjoy at the club.
The young people were especially excited to receive the car which is a unique self-propelled ride on toy for children that is safe and ideal to use indoors or outdoors on any hard, smooth and flat surface.
Cath said: "It is a fun way to get some exercise in any setting and promotes physical development as well as balance, co-ordination, spacial and speed awareness."
The Saturday Play Club welcomes children and young people with a disability aged from six to 16 who live in Uttlesford.
The club is opens 42 Saturdays a year from 10am to 2pm using facilities at Dame Bradbury'ss School in Ashdon Road, Saffron Walden.
