Sustainable Kingston is developing an action plan, and we need your help to identify critical challenges and opportunities in community sustainability.

Sustainable Kingston Annual General Meeting & Community Forum

On June 1st we invited the community to join us in Memorial Hall at City Hall to hear from a panel of local leaders and to participate in a workshop to help us answer the following question: What are the big, important moves that Kingston needs to take to enhance social, ecological, and economic well-being and help civic culture thrive in our community?. Gear Up! Youth Employment Initiative

Gear Up! Recycled Bikes launched June 11th. This initiative by Cycle Kingston provides youth with valuable life and work skills, while also providing the community with a more cost effective used bike shop, giving everyone better access to transportation.

Robinson Community Garden - Volunteers Needed

RCG's mission is to provide fresh produce, at no cost, to those in need in the Kingston Community. They need people to get involved at the community garden to help in the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of the crops.

Donation Matching for Loving Spoonful

Until July 31st the estate of Larry Gibson will match donations made to Loving Spoonful, up to $30,000.

Loving Spoonful is a charitable organization working towards achieving a food-secure community by facilitating fresh food access, skills and engagement in a collaborative, empowering and environmentally-sustainable manner.
