About the reality that allows distant clearing...

Sunday greetings, June 19, 2016, Father's Day AND my birthday!

Every year about this time, I face one of those quirks of fate that some of us face, when two events that offer celebrations of our person are combined into one.  Not fair, but certainly 'what is.'

And that sense of 'what is' is currently working through me... the essay I'm sending out is a recent one, digging deeply into what is real, and the implications for how we can move beyond the ordinary perception that we are separated individuals toward the capacity to affect the whole by clearing ourselves and others!

Enjoy the day AND the essay,

Jeff

How and why distant clearing works

You must read, believe and accept this; otherwise you are not going to read, believe and accept anything else that I have written about or claim to do.  In the beginning I was just like you, skeptical of all paranormal claims, completely under the influence of my senses, and in the grips of my apparent identity as an autonomous, conscious individual.  I continued to believe I was these things until I was well into my forties.  I had a full and successful life before then.  I earned a PhD in psychology, was trained as an Adlerian psychotherapist, wrote a book, and went through two marriages – all as a skeptic and an agnostic.  Then, gradually, I changed.  How I changed is too long a story to go into here, but if you are interested you can read more about it in my book, Playing 20 Questions with God.

Despite the beliefs of Western culture, we are not only individuals.  Each and every one of us is also a part of or holon to One Consciousness, the system that envelops us all.  Western culture as a whole, even science, is based on perception, ordinary perception.  We believe what we perceive, and part of what we perceive is that we are just individuals, single body/minds, aware, thinking, moving, and separate from everything and everyone else.

In order to appreciate the extent to which this ordinary perception is partial, thingified and illusory, consider the case of an Apple. An Apple, once picked, is an individual piece of fruit. It, like an individual person, has a skin boundary, an interior, as well as seeds and all of the other paraphernalia needed to create – new apples? – no – new trees – trees on which new apples grow. You see if we have bought the Apple ready picked, we have probably forgotten about the tree. But actually the Apple is just part of a system which includes not only the tree, but also everything else, water, air, sunlight, climate, the process of photosynthesis, that the tree is part of.
