Gardening Season

Ashley Stockham's bok choy, mustard greens, kale and other greens are off to a good start (other than some garden beetles) in the SMCC community garden. Ashley graduated last month from Culinary Arts.


Beach Cleanup

CCW Award

Congrats to AEDD student Parastoo Seddiqi on being named the WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) Youth Participant of the Year at the Coastal Counties Workforce annual meeting June 10.


Women's Hoops Coach

Welcome Katie Bergeron, our new women's basketball coach. Katie is a Maine native and former standout for Bowdoin College who has also played and coached in Europe.


Diesel Donation

SMCC's Automotive Technology program got a boost with a diesel pickup truck donated by State Farm insurance company. Read more...

Carpentry Training

A dozen Maine DOT employees took part in a two-day carpentry training workshop on June 13-14, put on by our Business & Community Partnerships department. We'll be hosting two more workshops in mid-July.
