World Ranger Congress

We predicted that the World Ranger Congress would be the biggest, greenest, and most financially viable conference that either the International Ranger Federation or ANPR had ever put on and I am absolutely delighted to say that it was all we hoped for and more. Final numbers: 312 delegates, 30 workers and partners, and 62 countries participated. If you missed the plenary talks or the inspirational opening flag ceremony, check them out here:

Come to Ranger Rendezvous in October for a multi-media presentation to re-live the experience or sample the flavor of what you missed. We'll be giving a brief summary of the After Action Review as well. I want to recognize the members of ANPR's World Ranger Congress Organizing Team and the many volunteers! ANPR can be very proud of what it accomplished.

Help Send Someone to Ranger Rendezvous
The Bill Supernaugh Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his family to help early career employees attend their first Ranger Rendezvous. ANPR has already raised $1500 to help support 4-5 scholarship winners. We'd love to match those contributions for a total of $3000 in donations this year! Please help us reach our goal by donating at www.anpr.orgTo learn more about the eligibility criteria, what recipients receive, and how to apply for a Supernaugh Scholarship, click here. Your generous contributions are greatly appreciated!

Share Your Story at Ranger Rendezvous
Have you worked on a successful project you want to share? Would you like to tell your colleagues why your park is special? This year's Ranger Rendezvous will feature a one-hour session of "speed talks." Each participant will have five minutes to show images and tell their story. Any park-related topic is welcome. To sign up, email ANPR's business manager at: anprbusinessmanager@gmail.com.

ANPR's Membership Drive is Currently Underway
Participate in ANPR's membership drive today! This is a great time to share our values of loyalty, excellence in professional stewardship, and collegial care with friends who may not be familiar with organization. Please consider supporting ANPR in one of the following ways before August 31:
  • Give a gift. Gift memberships are a great way to introduce friends and coworkers to ANPR. If you'd like to give a gift but don't have a particular recipient in mind, you can also direct ANPR to bestow a gift membership to a student or NPS employee on your behalf. Want to give a gift? Click here.
  • Recruit three, get a year free! Recruit three new members and enjoy a free ANPR membership in 2017. Gift memberships count!
  • Spread the word. Help us get the word out about ANPR. Forward this flyer to people who might be interested or post it around your park.
ANPR memberships now run for one full year from join/renewal date. Recruit a new member today!
