 BBQ dinner and presentation. This Friday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m. there will be a BBQ dinner hosted by Christ Lutheran Church (Denver) at our church. A youth group from Christ Lutheran will be staying in our sanctuary, and they've invited us to dinner! Dinner will be followed by a visit from a retired special forces Airborne Air Assault Ranger at 7 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy fellowship and food and to stay for the speaker afterward.

 Tribute to Jim Blood Drive. The Carter BloodCare bus with be at Abiding Grace on Sunday, July 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. as we honor the memory of Jim Fawks with a blood drive. Reserve your donation slot by signing up at church this Sunday or online. The blood drive will be part of our Christmas in July celebration on July 17.

 Cooking oil reminder. Abiding Grace provides cooking oil for the GRACE Food Pantry on an ongoing basis. We've collected nearly 400 bottles since last October! Consider bringing a bottle or two of oil (48 oz., any type) to help celebrate Christmas in July (Sunday, July 17). The collection box is near the church entrance.

 Ice cream social. Join us after worship on Sunday, July 24, to celebrate the start of VBS. Enjoy some ice cream and get to know the counselors from Briarwood. If you are willing to help, please contact Taylor ASAP (she will be returning from a family wedding that evening so all help will be greatly appreciated.

 Ballroom dancing lessons. Bruce and Toni Holte are offering a beginner ballroom dance class at the church beginning this Sunday, July 10, 1:00–2:00 p.m. The class they will be teaching is the East Coast Swing. The East Coast Swing is a derivation of the Latin Jive or Lindy. Please contact Bruce or Toni with questions and to sign up.
