Do You Have What it Takes to be Bermuda's Lip Sync Champion?
 
After the success of the Lip Sync element of our Telethon last year, Family Centre decided to host the event on its own! 
 
Send in your lip sync video to familycentrebda@gmail.com by September 16th! 

The teams whose videos raise the most funds and some specially selected 'crowd pleasers' will advance to a LIVE event on November 3 at the Fairmont Southampton! There are no age restrictions and no fee to enter!

Beyond the Field:
A Closer Look at Beyond Rugby Bermuda

Beyond Rugby Bermuda is a collaboration between the Bermuda Rugby Football Union and Family Centre.

The programme offers a combination of services including daily homework support, a full rugby programme, a meal and transportation home after practice along with personal social and therapeutic supports to youth in the three schools with this service.  

This 'Beyond the Field' short video highlights the impact the programme is having on young people in Bermuda.It features three young men who had the courage to share their stories and we couldn't be prouder of them!

Family Centre to Launch NEW Cup Match Stickers!

The ever popular Cup Match ribbons will be available for pre sale (contact 232-1116) and at various gas stations throughout July.

But on July 27th, Family Centre's Tag Day, you will see a new addition - the Cup Match sticker! Two designs will be available so you can still make sure everyone knows what team you support. Donate and wear yours proudly on July 27th!

Counselling Age Range to Expand

The age-range for our long-term counselling services is restricted to children aged 4 to 14 years. The social emotional issues for older youth are complex and there is no financially affordable referral source for them unless there is a psychiatric diagnosis or the referral is made through a child protection pathway. This greatly places our older youth at high risk for anti-social and other unhealthy behaviour. Thus, Family Centre has decided to expand its counselling services to 18 years of age this September. We have begun with stages of preparation through securing clinical tools which will be needed and secondly, with planned training for staff.
