He spoke of the history of the Mississippi River, flood control efforts dating from the early 1880s, with special details from 1935-1999 during the career of his father, William H. Klingner, P.E., P.L.S., who surveyed locations for the locks and dams, and designed and consulted on drainage and levee districts' pump stations and drainage improvements from the Missouri "boot heel" to Rock Island, Illinois. William Klingner was a founder of the Upper Mississippi Flood Control Association, and his book, "My Turn at Watch" was available after his presentation.

Klingner Water Engineers Install Third
UV Reactor In Missouri
Engineers of the Klingner Water Department completed a
water plant improvement project for the community of
Louisiana Missouri, using UV reactors. Louisiana faced
requirements from the Missouri DNR for cryptosporidium
removal at the water plant. After a year long study of
cartridge filtration, it was decided to go with UV reactors for
the additional treatment. At the time of permitting through
DNR, this installation was the 2nd permitted UV reactor facility
in the State of Missouri. This completed installation is the
third one to date for the entire State of Missouri.
