Paper forms are available at the CCT and CCA. The purpose of the awards is to recognise and acknowledge businesses delivering excellent customer service in the communities of Bowen and Collinsville.  We want to showcase the commitment and excellence of local businesses and their employees.

The Bowen River Rodeo and Campdraft was held on the 10th, 11th & 12th of June, attracting record numbers to the popular bush event. Congratulations to all the placing competitors, and to the committee for once again hosting such a thrilling weekend!

At the Bowen River Rodeo the raffles for the latest Pit Pony Murals were drawn by painters Mel and Desma. Congratulations to our winners:

Collinsville - Betty & Harry Stokes  who won Desma Munro's painting

Bowen - Lisa Burgess  who won Mel Stones painting

The paintings are part of the ongoing Pit Pony Experience Mural projects and the money raised will go back into the next new mural, painted by Desma which will go up at the Collinsville & Scottville Kindy and be unveiled at their 50th Anniversary celebrations in September.

Local business awards raise morale in the business community and alert consumers to the quality customer service businesses provide. Nominees will be judged on their customer focus, their efforts as an ambassador for their employers and their community, business innovations, as well as positive contributions to the local community.

Customers can nominate their favourite business, employee or employer online at Bowen Tourism website www.tourismbowen.com.au or from their Facebook Page.  Alternatively, nomination forms can be collected from the Bowen Independent or the QCCU in Collinsville.  All nominations are welcome.

Nominations are open from the 13th June until the 29th July.  All paper nomination forms are to be returned to the submission boxes at the above shops.   Nomination forms will then be collected and judged according to set criteria.

Awards will be presented at the Awards Gala on August 27th with further details of this event to be announced closer to the event date.
