Two weeks ago I gathered with my CRM reFocusing team to host a ministry leader training in Orange County, Calif. We invited pastors and ministry leaders to live missional lives for Jesus so they can lead their congregations to do the same! I know first hand that the responsibilities of pastoring a church can cause ministry leaders to forget that God also calls them to personally reach their lost neighbors. But sadly, the routine of doing church often forces out our passion for the lost people we encounter every day. It's tragic. I get to help "refocus" ministry leader's vision and mission.

During the trainings we host, we invite people to craft what we call an "Impact Statement". These are statements that are carefully formed by the participant through a process of reflection of their past and their passions for the future. "I live to develop dignity in pregnant teens and teen parents and to cultivate thriving homes for their children to grow up. Pregnant teens and teen parents in South Orange County will experience compassionate and encouraging help for effective decision-making/planning and to feel loved, accepted, and hopeful. Recipients will receive informational resources and guidance with weighing pregnancy options, career/educational planning, parenting tips, and life skills. They will also be covered in prayer and encounter opportunities to grow closer to Jesus Christ."
