2016   Sham El-Nessim ...

3  Generation Celebration ... !

It was an exciting coincidence that our 2016 Sham El-Neseem Celebration, (please click here for pictures), turned out to be the First 3-GENERATION event in ECCS-BC's history, since it started in the seventies.

ECCS-BC's first Generation Pioneers of the Egyptian Canadians in BC, were their at the Peace Arch Park, celebrating this Sunday, May 15th, 2016 with their 2nd. Generation sons and daughters, and/or their 3rd. Generation grandchildren.

To name a few, there were the Zohni's, Mansour's, Raouf's. El Newihi's, Massoud's, Soliman's, El Ramly's and more...

We are blessed with such a rich, vivid and growing society. And I am looking forward to join together soon to celebrate our 4th. Generation, and many Generations to come inshaa'Allah ...

Thanks to all Generations for your continued support to your ECCS-BC throughout the years and for its FUTURE...

EAS' First Term-End Celebration!

(Kids 3.5 - 5 are now welcome)

The Egyptian Arabic School (EAS) has celebrated the completion of its first term this June. The celebration has been a marvelous success, in which students of various age groups demonstrated their singing, drawing, and other artistic talents, in teams and individually, while their parents proudly and encouragingly enjoyed the shows. The event was organized by the remarkable & dedicated team of School Board. Technical setups were professionally executed by a great team of our young-adult volunteers.

Certificates have been earned by our diligent students. Prizes were distributed. Souvenir photos have been taken to commemorate such precious moments. Finally members socialized while indulgently trying out all the different delicious desserts afterwards!

We are very proud of the continued progress of EAS' classes; and we are honoured and committed to resume and improve the curriculum and services offered. As the new term has already begun, we encourage those who are interested in learning more about EAS to contact us via email or phone; check the links and information below for more details.
Ramy Essam in Vancouver Folk Music Festival 2016!

Ramy Essam is a contemporary Egyptian icon of music and freedom. The folk singer's legacy started when he sang in front of the masses of Egyptians in 2011's uprising; since then Essam has become a representative of his young generation in the minds of many Egyptians & Arabs. This July, Ramy is singing in Jericho Beach, participating in the annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival. The Festival is a Canadian cultural institution, and a unique community-based celebration with an internationally renowned reputation for presenting the finest traditional and modern folk and roots music artists around the world.
