Pillar's game-tying lunge

 Games played June 24, 2016

Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler hit two singles, drove in his 47th run, walked, and earned his 8th steal in a 7-4 loss to Cleveland. The 11th-year player is hitting .301 and has grounded into just two double-plays in 37 chances. He turned 34 on Wednesday.

Toronto CF Kevin Pillar singled twice and drove in both Blue Jays runs in a 3-2 loss to the White Sox. His game-tying single in the 6th inning involved a face-forward dive to first base to avoid the pitcher's tag. "I saw the first baseman leave his feet and I knew it was going to be a close play," Pillar told MLB.com. "I feel like if a pitcher runs over there and can't find the base, like he didn't, the next thing they're taught to do is tag a guy, so going in low makes that a little bit more challenging for him. I was just doing whatever it took."

Astros reliever Scott Feldman tossed 2.2 nearly-perfect innings in a 13-4 win over Kansas City, yielding one walk and no hits. Since being demoted from the starting rotation to the bullpen in late April, the 33-year-old native Hawaiian has gone 4-1 with a 2.08 ERA, fanned 19 batters in 21.2 innings, and -- perhaps most impressive -- walked only one.

Oakland 3B Danny Valencia doubled in a 7-4 win over the Angels.

Dodgers CF Joc Pederson singled in an 8-6 loss to Pittsburgh.

Yankees 1B Ike Davis was a late-inning defensive replacement in a 5-3 win over Minnesota but did not get an at-bat. Reliever Richard Bleier did not play.

Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun got the day off in a 5-3 win over Washington. He hit .343 on the Brewers' road trip.

Dodgers CF Joc Pederson walked in a 4-3 win over the Nationals.

Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler singled in a 5-1 win over Seattle.

Brewers LF Ryan Braun hit two singles in a 4-2 win over Oakland. On the other side of the diamond, 3B Danny Valencia also singled.

Toronto CF Kevin Pillar singled in a 5-2 win over Arizona.

The Yankees beat Colorado 9-8 largely without help from 1B Ike Davis, who entered the game in the 9th inning as a defensive replacement. Fellow first baseman Rob Refsnyder has a hot hand and thus has been given more playing time. Reliever Richard Bleier did not play.

Astros reliever Scott Feldman pitched a scoreless inning of relief in a 4-3 win over the Angels.
