Hello, DAG Summer Intensive students,

We are twirling into our last week of the Intensive! 

Heading into our third week, we have some announcements below.

Those who finished last week, we wish you a great summer and hope to see you at the studio for some drop-in classes to keep your conditioning.

Friendly reminder that technqiue track is from 9:15am - 12pm this week, Monday - Friday only.

Performance track is the same schedule with lunch being at 1pm-2pm.

Mr. Justo's Partnering Class is always an intensive favorite! Great job dancers and a special shout out to our three male dancers who partnered our 38 females.

Performance Track students, please review the RSVP's list below.

Some have asked if they can bring additional guests. Yes, you can but we are doing our best to accomdodate for the best seating we can in our studio setting. We may need to ask students having a larger party might need to be split and seated in the back. 

DAG's Performance Private Event on Facebook has been a great way to communicate. I will use this event page to keep you informed in the days to come. I also have kept track on non-Facebook users and can email you. 

 

Extra touches:

We will be video taping the showcase. The cost is $25.
Out-of-twon students we can send the DVD in the mail to you. Check written to DAG.

Thank you to Mr. Justo for setting up our annual movie night in our studio. This year it was West Side Story. What a great way to get excited to dance the famous scenes in our DAG Intensive Showcase!

GOAL DRIVEN: To enhance the learning experience, all students, both technique and performance track, have kept general reflections of their daily work.

Madeline Jazz Harvey, instructor of Ballet
Department of Theatre and Dance at
University of South Carolina, DanceArt Youth Company Artist-in--Residence and Carolina Ballet Theatre dancer fosters this method to help internalize the process.

Students have turned in their daily writings for the week by end of day Friday. Mrs. Harvey thas taken their written work and reviews them.

Sofia Entrekin, Jonimarie Purtle, Claire Barnes who are the first to receive Black Out in our Tic-Tac-Toe Bingo Blitz!

All students can participate until Thursday.
