“…show the world that ordinary people from ordinary places could, given half a chance, do extraordinary things.” Larry Livermore

I journeyed down the Rabbit Hole this week and came back up with these 10 hand-selected gems to inspire your inner creative-mystic.

1. We have Jupiter in Virgo until Sept. 9. This makes for an ideal (Jupiter) time to learn and be practical (Virgo). It’s time to be resourceful or lay the groundwork on how you plan to expend your resources. People don’t usually mind the struggle of their craft but they suffer from a struggle to turn their craft into business. Fiona Benjamin’s course helped me in numerous ways with this very issue. You wouldn’t be reading this newsletter if I hadn’t taken it.  So when she asked her students if we wanted to help spread the word about her next session of Vison2Value with our own affiliate link…I didn’t bat an eye. If you’re trying to create your own spiritual business (Jupiter’s in Virgo after all) Vison2Value is the perfect course.

2. With Mercury in Gemini (it moves to Cancer on June 29, 2016) I have been reading a lot and just consuming information and ideas. But I’m nowhere near as proud of what I learn as I am of what I share. I was so pleased to have Ali from Tarot Farm as a guest blogger this month where she explores love and tarot

3. If anyone reading this is new to Tarot or has some newbie friends…I highly recommend this free E-book from Vickie and Steve.

4. Game of Thrones is almost over…my tarot reading at the beginning of the season is looking pretty accurate.

5. We aren't always free to practice. There are STILL laws that ban astrology and fortunetelling on the books. Just look at Parkersburg, West Virginia.

6. In Long Beach California. There’s been a psychic fair going on since 1973!

7. A friend sent me to this site with 67 tips for being happy. I really agreed with a lot of it.

8. I love books and independent books stores. There was a void when Borders went away. What would a world without Barnes & Noble be like?

9. Novelist Dan Brown, “The Da Vinci Code”, donated some dough to make old mystical books digitized and available to the public!

10. Speaking of books I actually found time to finish one this week. “How to Ru(i)n a Record Label” a memoir by Larry Livermore. Larry ran a multi-million dollar record label, Lookout, from a ramshackle room in Berkley, California churning out records by Punk bands. These bands contributed the DNA of nearly every band I loved growing up.  It’s a well-written account of what happens when you build something from nothing, mix business with friendships/pleasure, and how the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts.

I need to share a Livermore quote from the book…
“At heart, at my core, I’d never stopped being that Detroit kid with a chip on his shoulder, out to show the world that ordinary people from ordinary places could, given half a chance, do extraordinary things.”
