Dear PS 124 Families,

Congrats to our students, families and staff for the thousands of things that you’ve accomplished this year!  An extra special congrats to all of our graduates - especially our 5th graders who we know are leaving 124 to continue doing amazing things!
I’ve met a lot of people this year who help to make 124 a special place for our students. A shout out to our class parents and 124 shooting stars who are listed below! Without your support, our events and celebrations either would not have happened or just would not have been as much fun! I also need to recognize the other members of our PTA executive board. I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by a bunch of talented and hardworking individuals who are committed to making the 124 community the best it can be!

I also need to thank YOU for everything you’ve done to support the PTA this year. Why is this important? Well, without your support, we would not have been able to supply the yellow communication folders, theatre program, swim program, testing celebrations, flowers at graduation, the P.E. program, field day and a million things in between!
We’re already planning for next year, but will need your continued time, talents and support to reach our goals and give our kids an enriching school year. One of the proposed goals is to expand our P.E. program with Kids In The Game (KING) who started working with our 3rd-5th graders this year. Our students and staff rave about their experience with KING and we want to give that opportunity to even more of our students!

This will be our last newsletter until next year, but keep an eye on our FB page and the school’s on-line calendar for updated information for fall. For PTA related questions, you can reach us at ps124pta@gmail.com. For school related questions, Ms. Maxil will be available during July and the last week of August at dmaxil@schools.nyc.gov or 347.563.5375.
Thanks for checking in and enjoy your summer!
