John McCutcheon, a folk musician nominated seven times for Grammy Awards, will perform at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center on Saturday, July 2, at 8 p.m. McCutcheon is folk music’s Renaissance man —multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, storyteller, activist and author. He tours actively, performs at festivals, hosts a songwriters camp, and and released his 37th recording last month.
McCutcheon is a master of a dozen different traditional instruments, including the hammer dulcimer.
He has produced over 20 albums of other artists, as well as books and instructional materials. McCutcheon’s commitment to grassroots political organizations has put him on the front lines of many of the issues important to communities and workers.
