It was great to see many of you at our NSW Volunteering Symposium on June 27th. We were joined by Hon. John Ajaka, Minister for Volunteering as well as guest speakers from the ACNC, NSW SES Volunteers' Association, Useability & Lead Your Own Change to discuss ways to ignite volunteering. As we are in the last few days of Federal Election campaign make sure that the issues facing the volunteering sector are heard and support Vote for Volunteering - a joint campaign with Volunteering Australia that aims to get candidates to pledge support to the sector. Don't forget, nominations for the 10th Annual NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards close on July 15. We want to recognise more volunteers in this year's awards, 10,000 in our 10th year, so if you know of a team, individual, volunteer manager or co-ordinator who gives their time - make sure you nominate them today.
