GstShark V1.2!!

RidgeRun Product

At RidgeRun, we know how important it is to have the right tools to debug your pipeline and tune your system. The right tools are especially useful when your pipeline is not giving you the desired framerate, has too high of CPU load, or causes long latency delays. GstShark is a performance tuning tool for profiling and tuning GStreamer pipelines that integrates right into GStreamer's core.

Features in this release include:

  • Offline CTF tracing
  • Eclipse plug-in front end
  • Several out-of-the box tracers: Filter processing, Inter-latency, Frames per second, Per core CPU usage, Pad scheduling time, Pipeline graphic representation
  • GNU/Octave scripts to ease data plotting and analysis
  • Several bug fixes and enhancements.

When using GstShark, you benefit from several of its inherent properties as:

  • Stand alone, GStreamer based library
  • Portable code
  • Extensible architecture
  • Low overhead
  • Simple usage thanks to its standard CTF tracing module, GstShark can be integrated with no additional effort to external tools, such as BabelTrace, TraceCompass, and much more!

Announcing Support for Auvidea Carrier Boards

RidgeRun Product

We are glad to announce our SDK support to the Tegra X1 carrier boards created by Auvidea. With the Auvidea boards and RidgeRun SDK, you can connect up to 6 cameras to the Tegra X1 via the MIPI ports.

RidgeRun has been able to capture 1080p60 video using the tiny J100 + J120 carrier boards and the B101 Bridge created by Auvidea. In order to do this, RidgeRun integrated the Toshiba TC358743 driver in Tegra X1 kernel and created a GStreamer pipeline to demonstrate the Tegra X1 capture capabilities.
