Cavelle Moore retires after nearly 20 years of service with the AHTA
Working tirelessly behind the scenes for nearly twenty years supporting the AHTA staff Cavelle Moore took her well deserved retirement earlier this month. Cavelle joined the AHTA even before the office moved to its current Newgate Street location 18 years ago and has always worked in the shadow of the office staff, cleaning the office and dealing with all the office courier.
Cavelle was recognised for her dedication when she was presented with an award at last week's Annual Tourism Awards.
Last weekend Cavelle kicked off her new life in retirement with her husband at Curtain Bluff. The AHTA would like to thank Curtain Bluff for their kind generosity in hosting Cavelle.
Cavelle will be sorely missed in the office but all the staff wish her well in retirement.

Training Update
Channel Management Workshop

In the modern world our business is being generated from a multitude of sources. Reservations come in via the OTA’s, the GDS, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, hotel website and even occasionally by phone. But how to manage all these various channels, how to expand your yield over these various mediums. To demystify channel management we have invited Alex Brown, a senior Executive with Siteminder – www.siteminder.com to facilitate a workshop on Monday July 18th from 4pm to 6.30pm and Tuesday July 19th from 8am to 12.30am at the Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts. These two sessions will give you a clear overview of the importance of each channel, how to manage them and how to maximise your reservation mix.

The cost is EC$350.00 per person for AHTA members and EC$500.00 for non-members.

Interested persons should complete the attached registration form and return to either neil@antiguahotels.org or anthea@antiguahotels.org . For a registration form click here.

For information on any of our training programmes please contact Anthea in the AHTA office.
