July 2016 Update

As we draw near to running our 2nd DTS in San Jose, we are so aware of all the details that need to fall into place. Existing in the faith gap of where we find ourselves to what we are believing for invariably causes us to fall on our faces and cry out to the Lord.

Can you relate? It is such a safe place to be, before Him, completely reliant on Him. In this place your life gives Him SO much glory!

I've been learning how to keep my eyes on things above, in a practical way this has looked like not taking half steps but really launching out into the directions He's been been guiding us into. This is so crucial for us at the moment, particularly when circumstances swirl around us. I (Luke) have really felt carried in this season, my heart is hopeful and I'm learning to be ok to let things fall as they will. This has brought calm and focus as we prepare!

We're in the midst of looking for some more housing as the house we are currently in we hope to have students and staff move in come September. We just know God has the right solution for us as we continue to be faithful to take the steps He's asking of us!

Our student numbers are filling up with still room for more, we are in need for school staff but we will be ready to go come September 19th!

Thank you for all your prayers for our family and ministry. We have felt them and are so grateful.

FAMILY HIGHLIGHTS:

We enjoyed our annual family camping trip with Angela's side of the family. The kids loved it!

We had award winning New Zealand Artist Strahan come and do a house concert.

On June 23rd, we hit the 15 year mark and we're excited for the next 15!

Luke leading worship at our church on sunday, there was a potter's wheel during the sermon!

PRAYER:
FAMILY - We've had such a great summer, we would appreciate prayer for Joy and Kindi as they both attend a local middle school. Please be praying for them both to be a light in their schools. They are involved in a fantastic youth group so they are loving life right now. Levi is growing so quick, already 9 he is such a kind soul and for the first time will be all by himself at our local elementary school. Xavier has done well this summer so we're looking forward to his continued growth in this next year.

CAR - Our dear car is hanging on by a thread, instead of putting more money into her we are looking at replacement options. We are also hoping to purchase a smaller car for running around town.

BECKY - Angela's cousin is in a tough place as she goes through a final attempt to deal with the cancer she has been battling for the past several years. She has a husband and 2 young children. Angela and I would love to travel out before summer ends to spend a few days with them.

FINANCE UPDATE:
Here is a picture of our URGENT NEEDS. WE have some large upcoming expenses over the next few weeks, we have been astonished at His incredible provision.

We have started a goal of raising money to put towards a purchase of a home. We have not found a house in particular but we are starting to gather pledges, our progress is so far:
