Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler reached base twice in a 5-4 win over Toronto, singling and getting hit by a pitch. He also made his fourth error of the season. On the other side of the diamond Blue Jays CF Kevin Pillar hit two singles and made a nice grab of a diving liner hit by Justin Upton. Pillar's attempt to score from third base on a squeeze bunt in the 6th inning failed, despite a challenge by manager John Gibbons.
