Regina Cat Rescue at Charity Championship event

Two cat-loving teams will be racing for Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) at Casino Regina’s Charity Championship event for a chance to win up to $10,000 for RCR. You can help by donating to RCR through each team’s Fundrazr page. The more donations RCR receives, the bigger head start the teams will get and the better chance of winning money for Regina’s abandoned cats and kittens! Donate to Clawing to the Topand Alley Cats today! RCR is providing tax receipts for donations of $10 or more. You can cheer the teams on at Casino Regina on Friday, August 19 starting at 12 p.m. (19+ only). Good luck to both teams!

July's Metro Cat

Thanks to Metro Pet Market for Spaying It Forward! This month, Metro paid for Ashanti’s spay surgery as part of their on-going mission to foster responsible pet guardianship. Ashanti came to Regina Cat Rescue in medical distress and in need of emergency surgery. Now she’s recovered, spayed and ready for her forever home! Check out her adoption profile and for more info about Metro Pet Market, please visit their website.

Meet Molly!

This month’s feature cat is Molly. She's a gentle and affectionate cat who enjoys pets and attention. If you're looking for a calm and loving feline companion, Molly is the one for you! Check out her adoption profile here.

Teaming up to Help Cats in Need

RCR in the community

RCR volunteers have been out and about sharing the kitten love this summer! On June 17, volunteers attended CGI's health and wellness day with some stress-reducing kittens! CGI hosted the event to help promote mental wellness, and the kittens definitely brought some smiles. On July 6, volunteers visited the YWCA to provide some kitten therapy to the staff (pictured above) who got to try their hand at bottle feeding some of RCR's youngest foster kittens.

July Rider game volunteers

The Riders may not be off to a great start this season, but that won’t stop us from supporting their hungry fans at Mosaic Stadium! We need Rider game day volunteers to work the Western Pizza booths at the upcoming games on July 16 and July 30. Volunteering at Rider games is a valuable source of funds for RCR, so help out and you’ll be making a big difference to needy animals in Regina. More details are available here. If you can help out, please email ellen.williams@usask.ca.

Adoptable cats at Zoom Zoom Groom

We're happy to share that you can now meet and adopt RCR cats at Zoom Zoom Groom’s Prezoomably Cats (1180 Winnipeg Street, Regina). This adoption partnership provides another avenue for RCR cats to find their forever homes and demonstrates Zoom Zoom Groom and Prezoomably Cats’ commitment to rescued animals. We’d like to pass on a big thank you for their support! Please stop by to meet our first adoptable kitty, the beautiful Amethyst!

Feral feeders needed. Help our city's community cats thrive by joining our feral feeding team! We currently have two positions available, and the time commitment is just 1-2 hours per week. Learn more here.

Forever homes found. A total of 28 cats found their forever homes in June.

Thank you! A big thank you to Ben Kelsch and In the Flesh Custom Tattooing for their support. They raffled off merchandise at the Pile O' Bones Tattoo Convention and donated the funds to RCR resulting in a $290 donation!

BINGO! RCR is always in need of help working fundraising bingos. Upcoming shifts include July 10 & 23. More info here.

Cat food needed! It takes an incredible amount of food to feed the hundreds of foster and feral cats in RCR's care, and during this busy time our supplies are running very low. Donations of wet and dry cat food and cat litter are desperately needed. Drop off location is 167 Bothwell Cres.

Get your Kit-Tea. Thanks to local businesses for carrying Kit-Tea in their shops. You can find RCR's organic tea in Regina at Naked Bean Espresso Bar, Artful Dodger Café and Noni's. Kit-Tea is $7 per 25 g bag or three bags for $20. Online ordering also available.

Last chance for raffle tickets!

Don’t miss out on your chance to win in our Cat Tree Raffle! Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, and are available by e-transfer. The winner’s name will be posted on our raffle page on July 9, 2016. Thanks for your support and good luck!
Photo of the Month! These cuties are just four of 26 kittens and cats recently rescued from a hoarding situation in Regina, making this rescue the second largest in our history. Thankfully, the cats and kittens are doing well and are adapting nicely to foster care. We currently have 164 cats in our care. You can help by donating, fostering or adopting today.
