GRIN News and Notes

Some news for you and a host of summer events to participate in. Keeping you up-to-date with all that's happening in our state...

Congratulations!

Marty Mennen is an All Star!
Congratulations to Indy Aquatic Masters' Marty Mennen for being named  the USMS All-Star for 2014. Pool All-Stars are those who have achieved the most first place finishes in their age group during the year in Top Ten competition. Congratulations Marty!

Congratulations are also in order to all of the GRIN swimmers who have been earned Top Ten finishes for both USMS and FINA. With new Indiana State records set during 2015 in each pool format (SCY, SCM, and LCM), we knew our state had fast swimmers. Check out all of the USMS Top Ten finishers within GRIN. The list is long and extensive. Congratulations to all!

The Rock The Quarry Triathlon and Mile Swim is a USAT-sanctioned Triathlon that also offers a Mile Open Water Swim. The unique venue is a former rock quarry that is filled with pristine water. Swimming (and motor boats) are not normally allowed in this water. We will "own" the pond on the day of the event, making it even more special. The water is usually fairly calm, since it is sheltered on one side by trees. Online registration is open for this once-a-year opportunity.
