  Good'ayEveryone! So here's an update on summer classes that are running. Many are drop - in such as, Step, Sculpt and Balance and Tension Tamer.  I hope that you'll be able to join me for Nia in the Park & Outdoor Chi Ball Flow or Personal Training sessions. 
Please note: Outdoor Nia on Mondays is CANCELLED - Outdoor Nia and Chi Ball are pay as you go classes run by Moi! :)

Chi Ball Body, Mind Spirit Workout   

A ChiBall Flow Workout is a potent combination of ancient Eastern and modern Western mind-body exercises that brings your mind into focus and body into shape. Based on the principles of traditional Chinese Medicine, a ChiBall class combines the modalities of Tai Chi-Qi Gong, Dance,Yoga, Pilates, Feldenkrais and Relaxation/Meditation, set to inspiring music. ChiBall focuses on your breathing and can be very soothing for the mind. Over time, you can expect an increase in metabolism, strength, flexibility, mobility, balance and an awareness of your body.

Step & Strength & Balance
Step into fitness! Not just a cardiovascular workout,
aerobic stepping will benefit your overall health. Decide if you want to make this a medium or high intensity workout. Forget the 80's glitz....this stepping workout is updated and will make your heart and lungs work more efficiently, improve your muscular endurance, tone and strengthen legs and  burn calories. We will alternate stepping sequences with balance work, free weights, balls, pillows and core mat work for a total body blast.
Breithaupt Centre:  Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:25 pm 
July 6 - August 25
New!!      Tension Tamer
New research shows stress has a powerful negative effect on heart health.
This class will focus on easy ways to help you relax, help you take control, lower your tension levels and just plain de-stress. We’ll focus on gentle movement, awareness, relaxation as well as ancient and newer meditation techniques.

Rockway Centre: Tuesdays - 4:45 - 5:45pm 
July 5 - August 16 (DROP - IN Available)
Easy Does It

  A low impact class with music, that incorporates cardio fitness,  muscle conditioning, endurance, core strength and balance using balls, weights, bands and mats. This class allows you to strengthen your muscles for improved functional movements and will help reduce risk of injuries in daily activities. Suitable for men and women from beginner to intermediate levels.

Gentle Moves
This very low intensity, go-at-your-own pace exercise class is for any level of mobility. The class is tailored to accommodate personal health issues such as osteoporosis, arthritis and other ailments. There are some standing elements (if you cannot stand - alternatives will be shown) as well as, sitting exercises using balls, bands and weights. 
We'll also incorporate stretches, balance work (yes, even in a chair), strengthening and fun.

With all of the fitness options out there, it's a challenge just to know what the best program for you and your specific fitness needs may be. Perhaps you're not even sure of what your needs are or where to start, and want some help wading through the multiple choices available. Maybe you're intimidated by weight machines, free weights or other fitness equipment and want to learn to use them safely. Would you like a fitness regimen to follow and someone to coach and encourage you through it? 
If you are looking for guidance or specific fitness and wellness results, I have a variety of fitness packages available for you ....anywhere from getting you comfortable with working out, weight room orientation, to setting up a supervised personal fitness plan that's right for you in order to achieve the results you're looking for. I specialize in beginner programming and the over 40 population. From one on one, with a friend, small groups (boot camps) or personalized classes in your home, I will help you get results!

I will travel to your home or meet you at the Y, or any studio that you may work out in.

Allan Reuter Centre
William E. Pautler Centre,  and  Johnson Centre. Classes continue in Kitchener at Rockway, Breithaupt, Victoria Hills, Downtown Community Centre, Black Willows and possibly Church of the Good Shepard and at Christ Church in Waterloo.
