Happy Summer!
Can you believe the spectacular weather that we have been having this summer?! I know that I have been enjoying it very much, although you wouldn't know it if you looked at my garden, let's just say it escaped me this year... I suppose if you look on the bright side, with not having to tend the garden, it has left me more time for knitting! I finally finished my Featherweight Sweater this summer, which I was glad to have off the needles as the weather starts to really heat up. Now I've got some socks, shawls and fingerless mitts that are all vying for my attention. Great Northern Yarn Haul
July 8th - 17th
Join us for this brand new event! Paula, the owner of Love.Yarn.Shop. in New Hampshire approached New England yarn stores about participating in a yarn crawl, and the Great Northern Yarn Haul was born! There are 16 stores that are participating from the shores of Lake Champlain to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean! Visit the Facebook Page for a listing of all participating stores and then join the fun and start your Yarn Haul with us! The first 20 participants who make a purchase of $20 or more will receive a free Yarn Haul tote bag, fun goodies and Travel Card to get started! Once we run out of totes, you can still join in the fun by stopping in to pick up your Travel Card and we'll be giving away fun gifts with purchase!

Stitch-N-Pitch
When: Saturday, August 6th, join us!
Where: Centennial Field, Burlington, VT
What: A fun night of knitting, baseball & fireworks! The Must Love Yarn crew will be out in force, we'll be knitting, crocheting and spinning the night away while cheering on the Vermont Lake Monsters! We also have some non-knitting spouses joining the fun, so feel free to bring the whole family!

We will be starting classes back up in August, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox or social media for the class lists when they are released. For our first class back, we are planning a dyeing class that is tentatively scheduled for August 13th, with Amy of Vivid Fiber Arts so be sure to keep that weekend open if you are interested! We should have more details about that class later this week or early next week!

Abby Isaacs, Linda Krag, Cari Clement
Cast Off Chemo
We were honored to have Linda Krag, Owner of Denise Interchangeable Knitting and Crochet, visit with us this week. Linda came in to bring us some of her wonderful products for which the proceeds go directly to Cancer Research at the University of Vermont. Linda's Brother-in-law is Dr. David Krag, who heads a research lab at UVM and his lab has made huge advances in cancer research and treatment. Linda is part of the wonderful charity Cast Off Chemo, which works to raise awareness and money for Dr. Krag's research. We were also very honored to have Cari Clement, a long-time knitting/crochet industry professional & designer and friend of Linda's join us as well. Linda was interviewed by WPTZ Newschannel 5's Abby Isaacs about Denise Needles, Linda's charity work, and the great importance of Dr. Krag's research. The news piece will be airing later this week on WPTZ, so be sure to keep an eye out for it! Also, if you happen to be stopping in the store for a visit, please do take a look at the yarn, knitting/crochet kits, and patterns that are available for purchase, for which the proceeds go to support Dr. Krag's research.
