Children in the Reception classes at Hereward Primary School, Loughton, took part in their first ever sports' day this week in glorious sunshine.
Competing in the school teams of Woodpeckers, Kingfishers, Robins and Goldfinches, the pupils took part in sack races, football goal shooting, beanbag balances and hurdle races before finishing with some sprints.
The winning team was the Robins.
Headteacher Matt Woolard said: "It was a wonderful morning for the children and their parents and family members.
"The Reception pupils thoroughly enjoyed their first Sports' Day experience."
