Check our Storage With TMWA’s Upstream Reserves Tracker
Log On Any Time and See Current Reservoir Storage

TMWA has released a new online web tool that will keep you up to date on upstream reserves stored currently and the amount—if any—that has been used to date. The new tool can be found at tmwa.com/reserves. You can view the data in acre feet or gallons. The tool also features historical upstream reserves from 1985 to the present and projected reserves for the current year. Upstream reserves are used to supplement TMWA’s water supply when normal river flows are not sufficient to meet demands. They are stored in Independence and Donner Lakes, as well as Boca and Stampede Reservoirs.

“The storage in our upstream reservoirs plays a crucial role in our sustainable water supply,” said Andy Gebhardt, TMWA Director of Customer Relations. “A picture is worth a thousand words and it is much easier to understand the use of drought reserves on this tracker. The tracker will be kept up to date, so check in regularly,” he added.

TMWA’s water supply is made up of the following: Truckee River flows, water stored in federally owned reservoirs, groundwater and TMWA’s upstream drought reserves, when necessary. The tracker page includes links to information on the Truckee River Operating Agreement, other reservoirs in the system and Lake Tahoe storage.

2016 Annual Water Quality Report Is Now Available Online

The Environmental Protection Agency requires that all water utilities provide their customers with an annual water quality report. For TMWA this presents a welcome opportunity to demonstrate how we live up to our “Quality. Delivered.” mission.

We take enormous pride in the outstanding, high-quality water we deliver to our customers, and welcome the opportunity to share this detailed look at the water quality that TMWA delivers. In 2015, the year for which we are reporting, the Partnership for Safe Water presented TMWA with the President's Award, placing us among only 18 utilities across the country that have achieved this recognition.

Visit tmwa.com/quality2016 to view the newest Water Quality Report. The electronic format saves us both money and trees! But, if you would like to request a hard copy of this year’s Water Quality Report, please call Will Raymond in TMWA's water quality department at
