Welcome to our July email newsletter...

Hello <<First Name>>,
Although the weather in June didn't quite hit the mark, Baildon continued to punch above its weight (and size) with an amazing range of activities involving every section of the community. From the Walkers are Welcome Walking Weekend, to Baildon Proms, to the weekly music at Saltaire Bandstand, you are all out there, joining in and being creative.
Baildon Town Council is proud to give whatever support it can - whether that is our community banner scheme on the roundabout, or grants to help you with your event, and much more beside.
We are trying to strengthen our communications over the next 12 months which I believe is a valuable service as it lets you know what is going on in your local community. And there continues to be much to debate on local issues: the reservoir site on the moors where a planning application has been lodged and the reintroduction of sheep on the moors are both good examples.
If you want to join the Town Council, either as a future Councillor or as a volunteer, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you. We have twelve fantastic volunteer Councillors now, but we always welcome new people who want to get involved.
I hope you enjoy all the summer events still to come, especially Baildon Carnival on Saturday, and thanks for all your support!
Very best wishes,
Gill Dixon
Chair of Baildon Town Council
