Last year around this time, I got a phone call that Hospice was coming for my grandmother. 

After sleeping in her room at the nursing home in Rhode Island for 3 nights back-to-back. I had to head back to New York for two shows that weekend. One was at Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar and the other was performing for Diana Bellamy's Grand Opening in New Jersey. 

To make a long story short, my grandmother passed as I was performing for Diana's show. As I approach the one year anniversary of my grandmother's death, it feels bittersweet to be joining Diana once again as she embarks on yet another new chapter of her women's empowerment journey, but I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be than surrounded by inspirational and empowering women!
