Viva Village Office
Viva Village now has a central location from which to coordinate our activities leading up to launch and beyond.
Having an office is a real advantage. Some of these include:
- Room for small meetings and volunteer interviews
- A central and secure location for files and equipment storage
- A central source for Viva Village applications, forms, handouts, manuals, and other printed materials
This is very new, so there are no office hours yet — it's still the early stages.
A phone number will be coming soon!
(Thank you to Sarah Harris for the welcoming daisies!)
Address:
4905 SW Griffith Dr., Suite 108
Beaverton OR 97005

Vetted Vendor List
Send your favorite business recommendations!
One of the services that our Village will provide our members is a list of Vetted Vendors — businesses that have passed a standardized vetting process and whom we can trust to come into our homes.
For a business to be considered, a referral must come from a Village member or volunteer. This is where each of you can help!
We need referrals to businesses that you or a family member have used and would recommend to others. When our team of volunteers contact the business we will indicate that we received a referral from someone in our Village but we will not give your name.
Below is the list of categories we need to fill. We need 1) the business name, 2) a contact person if you have one, 3) a contact number, and 4) why you recommend the business.
- Yard maintenance/landscaping
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Home repair/maintenance/modifications
- Chimney repair and cleaning
- Computer repair and assistance
- Housecleaning
- Roofers
- Painters
- Basic handy person
Please send your referrals to Karen McCune at Karen.mccune@gmail.com.
Thank you for helping build our Village!
(P.S., Several people have been heard saying, "Oh, I know the perfect (fill in the blank) for your Vetted Vendors List!" Now is the time to send in those names!)

Launch Campaign
Campaign Planners Needed
Much more than fundraising, this campaign encompasses all that Viva Village signifies — a community of neighbors helping neighbors stay neighbors!
The Launch Campaign is about bringing in members and volunteers, and giving people the opportunity to be Founding Members or Friends of Viva Village.
Join the team to make this campaign a big success!
We look forward to hearing from you!

The Pilot Launch is fast approaching.
We are looking forward to this opportunity to test our systems.
As we move towards October 1, the start of our Pilot,
let's take a moment to remember our mission:
"To build and sustain an intergenerational organization that provides older Beaverton-area residents with trained volunteers and affordable paid services to help them age in place and thrive as members of a safe, caring community."

When Viva Village is up and running,
we will be making such a positive impact in our community.
Thank you to all who are contributing to make this happen!
