Community celebrate official opening of Marcus Garvey Library
60 children from Welbourne Primary School joined the Deputy leader of Haringey Council, Jamaican High Commissioner, Tottenham MP David Lammy and local poet Abe Gibson to officially re-open the £3million Marcus Garvey Library and Customer Services Centre this week.
The new-look Marcus Garvey Library and Customer Services Centre in the heart of Tottenham boasts: 22,000 new books, 52 new computers to give residents more opportunities than ever to get online and learn new digital skills and a dedicated Marcus Garvey and Afro-Caribbean collection.

Transforming Tottenham Hale
An ambitious new programme to transform Tottenham Hale was announced this week. The partnership with Argent Related will deliver a range of around 800 homes, new shops, health centre and green spaces. The regeneration of Tottenham Hale represents the first phase of London’s largest Housing Zone.
