Big Oil mouthpiece CIOMA found a new venue to mislead consumers about clean air laws: the gas pump.

Every July, the state updates gas pump labels to explain state taxes on gasoline. This year, the California Independent Oil Marketers Association is going above and beyond the call of duty and is handing out to members a label that includes language about the state’s cap-and-trade system, incorrectly stating it’s a tax.
