Thomas Willingale School and Nursery holds 'Race for Life' event
Children at Thomas Willingale School and Nursery, Loughton, raised about £2,000 for Cancer Reseatrch UK when they held a 'Race for Life' day.
Children and staff wore pink and took part in fun runs around the school field before enjoying a picnic.
Headteacher Teresa Phillips said: "A fabulous day was had by all when the whole of Thomas Willingale took part in another Race For Life event.
"The school turned pink especially at lunch-time when we were joined by more than 300 parents and family for a lovely picnic on the school field.
"Children have been collecting sponsorship for running and so far we have raised around £2,000.
"The community has been very generous helping to fill our collection buckets and donating on our Just Giving Page. It was a fun day for a very worthwhile cause."
