Journeying to Duluth and Beyond
On the shore of Lake Superior from August 19 to September 11 we will have several opportunities to participate in Great Lakes Journeys. Along with us, many of our Journey partners will commonly converge on Duluth MN.

Please join us in any of the following Journey activities
August 19-21 - Tall Ships Duluth 2016 - eXXpedition and Great Lakes Commons booth. Come out to talk and learn, we'd love to see you. 

August 20 -  eXXpedition Voyage (Lake Superior). Make the unseen seen, and be part of the world's largest simultaneous water sampling for micro-plastics.

August 22-September 1 - Support the 310film.com North Shore run by Shawna. One woman's trail run to celebrate the resilience of Lake Superior and the people working to sustain it.

September 4 - Ben Weaver Noon nature walk and evening performance at Bent Paddle Brewery.

September 9-11 - Children of the Wild performances of The Wastlelands folk opera.

The Commons Journey project was inspired by the motion of water and so we found projects that were in motion (walkers, cyclists, paddlers, runners, swimmers). The list of Journey partnerships is being updated every month and we are now happy to share our Journey Guide to the wider GLC community.
Additional Summer Events
Saturday, August 6th - Children of the Wild will perform The Wastelands as part of the Detroit Sidewalk Festival.

Sunday, August 7th - Milwaukee Water Commons will host We Are Water - A community beachfront celebration of Milwaukee's waters.

Saturday, August 20th - eXXpedition Great Lakes is happening all around the Great Lakes, on every lake!
