Build a car, look inside an engine, man the controls of an airplane, and a much more. Campers will learn about the history, science, and designs which shape our cars, boats, trains, planes and more. Activities will include experiments, crafts, outdoor activities, and field trips all designed to reinforce the fundamental concepts of transportation. Camp takes place from 9 am to 3 pm.
We are turning our education center into a theater as a mid-summer outing for our members and their kids and grandkids. We will screen "Mater's Tall Tales", featuring lovable trouble-making tow truck from Disney/Pixar's Cars series. We will also have several cars available for photo opportunities, including Mater's City Cousin (Our 1940 Cabover Tow Truck), Sarge the Jeep, and Luigi the Fiat!
Join us on August 6, for our Youth Basic Engine Class! This is a hands-on three hour class aimed at students 4th grade and up. Student learn how an engine works by taking apart a Briggs and Stratton one cylinder engine to see how the solids, liquids and gases interact to make it run1
