It's celebration time at Textile Dream Studio as the much anticipated 12x12 Challenge 2016-17 Application is ready!
The 12x12 Challenge is a year-long Creativity Booster, meeting monthly from October, 2016, through September, 2017, at Textile Dream Studio, with the goal of creating 12 artworks in 12 months, each with a finished dimension of 12 inches by 12 inches. But the 12x12 Challenge is so m uch more than the physical act of making. We are giddy to launch our Fifth Season of The 12x12 Challenge with an Online Application Form. Applications are due by July 30th, so if you are interested in joining the fun, please do not hesitate to fill it out and hit the Submit button!
Summer Time and the Quilting is Easy

Yes, we know there are so many distractions during the summer, so if you want to get those unfinished quilting projects birthed into being, let yourself indulge in a little quilting therapy with a couple of our favorite Quilting Doulas to assist.
Fern Royce is hosting 2 more Quilt Labs this summer, Saturday July 16, and Saturday, August 20, both from 11 to 4.
Bring your project and ideas and spend 5 hours focused on your project with teacher support. All levels.

Sondra Von Burg is hosting a marathon of "Finish It with Sondra" dates in August. All levels.
- Wednesday, August 3, from 10 to 2
- Thursday, August 4, from 10 to 2
- Wednesday, August 10, from 11 to 4— focus on Dolls
- Wednesday, August 17, from 11 to 4— focus on Quilts
On Sunday, August 7, from 11 to 5, "Heads and Hands." Sondra will break down the steps of doll-making into simple tasks and shapes and show you the tools to make it easier. All levels.
On Monday August 15, from 11 to 4, Sondra will teach you to "Paint A Figure" (Mermaid) for appliqué onto your own quilt. All levels.

Textile Dream Studio is a Community Sewing and Textile Crafting space located in Berkeley's Sawtooth Building, 2525 8th St, just south of Dwight Way. Our building entry is through Bay 1 and the Studio is #13C.
