Happy Summer everyone!
I love the summer-no coats, scarves or sweaters, and no cold winds. Plus, all the flowers in bloom seem to lift my spirits. I love the grilling, the watermelon and fruity iced teas. Of course I don’t mind the frozen margaritas either!! In mid-July my family and I head off on our summer vacation and like last year, we are going to Costa Rica. It was so beautiful there, I’m looking forward to going back and relaxing. Of course when we planned it all those months ago, I never thought I’d be releasing my next book, The Arrangement, while on vacation. Looking back that seems to be a trend for me; Rescued was released when I was flying home and Memories of the Heart was released while I was in Florida.

Speaking of grilling, my son, who many of you may know is a fantastic cook, made the most delicious salmon on the grill over the Fourth of July weekend. I’ll give you the recipe:
Glazed Salmon
1 ½ pounds of salmon fillet cut into portions sizes. We had 6 pieces out of that. Skin on the bottom was kept on. In a zip lock bag, marinate in equal parts of water, vegetable oil, brown sugar and soy sauce (1/4 cup of each) with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Refrigerate for about an hour or two.
Glaze-sautéed garlic 2-3 cloves, mustard, honey, soy sauce and lime juice-about a tablespoon of each. Mix together
When the grill is ready, make sure you spray or oil the grill so the fish doesn’t stick. Place skin side up and grill for 5 minutes. Flip the fish and put glaze on top of fish and grill for another 5 minutes, until it’s cooked through.
Flip one more time to get the glaze hot and sear the salmon.
Serve with your favorite sides.

The Arrangement is coming July 20th and I can’t tell you how much I fell in love with these two guys. Like my first story Rescued, Carter and Reed’s story just popped into my head and demanded to be told. Carter never imagined loving anyone, but when his little brother comes into his life, he dedicates himself to his care. He has no time to date or even see someone steadily, until he meets Reed. Reed, who has defined his life by his anxiety and ADHD agrees to be Carter’s monthly hook up, thinking he too, has no chance at finding someone to love. Not because he doesn’t want it, but doesn’t believe anyo ne would want him.
It was wonderful to watch these two broken men open up to each other and themselves. Carter surprised me with his tenderness and Reed, with his strength. I hope you enjoy their story. As a bonus, I’m included the complete first chapter here, for you to read before release.
