Gender pay gap not limited to wages: women earn fewer allowances and bonuses than men do

WageIndicator's Sample Collective Agreement: solution for slow negotiation process?

Recently, WageIndicator hosted a Summer School in Amsterdam, where representatives of both trade unions and employers of six African countries worked together. They used the research tools provided by the Wageindicator Collective Agreements Database to create - almost automatically - what they considered to be the best possible models of Collective Bargaining Agreements for their own countries. These Sample Collective Agreements could be the solution for the slow and complex negotiation process.

Labour law changes around the world

The country of France has adopted a huge labour law reform in July 2016. The new Labour Code sets a higher level of daily and weekly working hours, allows the company agreements to take precedence over the sectoral agreements, and even lets a company level agreement set a lower rate of overtime in the absence of a collective agreement.
WageIndicator Foundation collects, compares and shares labour market information through online and offline surveys and research. Its national websites serve as always up-to-date online libraries featuring (living) wage information, labour law and career advice, for employees, employers and social partners. In this way, WageIndicator is a life changer for millions of people around the world. To learn more, visit WageIndicator.org or your national website.
