On your mark, get set...READ!

The Summer Reading Program is sprinting along with great themes and programs for all ages. 

Storytimes for ages 0-11 are held every week, and special programs for the family are scheduled most Thursday evenings. Special programs are scheduled for teens and adults as well. All special programs request advance registration and take place at the library unless otherwise noted.

Here are some highlights of our schedule for the rest of the program:

  • Wednesday, July 13, 7:15-8:30 p.m.-Fitness Kickboxing for adults at Elite Leadership Martial Arts Academy.
  • Thursday, July 14, 6:30 p.m.-Lenape Games (family program) featuring Jennifer Brooks of Berks County Parks.
  • Tuesday, July 19, 5:30 p.m.-Comedy Sports & Pizza for teens with the Yocum Institute for Arts Education.
  • Thursday, July 21, 6:30 p.m.-Action Sports (family program) with the Yocum Institute.
  • Thursday, July 28, 6:30 p.m.-Fit to Survive, program for teens.
  • Tuesday, August 2, 6:30 p.m.-Tips for Healthy Living for adults.
  • Thursday, August 4, 6:30 p.m.-Puppets Pizzazz (family program).
  • Tuesday, August 9, 6-8:00 p.m.-Zentangle! for adults. Space is limited.
  • Thursday, August 11, 5:30 p.m. doors open -6 movie start-Family Movie with Pizza, showing Cool Runnings (PG).
Color Me Hungry
a lunchtime coloring break for adults continues the second Friday of each month at 11 a.m.
Afternoon Stitching Group
meets every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m.
Evening Stitching Group 
meets every Monday from 6:30-8 p.m.
Mifflin Writers Group
meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month at 6:30 p.m.
Afternoon Book Group
meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 3 p.m.
