Peanut Butter Sunday

It's Peanut Butter Sunday!  Bring jars of peanut butter and we'll take them to Chandler Christian Community Center for their emergency food boxes. Peanut butter is one of the most needed items in food pantries including ours.

Bible 101 & Other Studies

Are you interested in a basic Bible study? We'd likely meet once a week at a restaurant or bar in Chandler near the 101. If you're interested, let Abby know.

As a reminder, you're invited to a study each Sunday morning 9 a.m. We read the scripture for the next Sunday's sermon together and discuss. It's usually engaging and we end up in a lot of different places.

So What's a Podcast?

After last Sunday, several folks were curious about Bloody Mary Bible Brunch and especially about podcasts. Think about a radio program. Now, put it in a format that you can listen to any time you want. You can even download it to your computer, or iPod, or phone. Unlike a radio program, no sponsors or broadcasting equipment needed. If you'd like to listen, you can do so here. You can also download for free on iTunes simply by search for "Bloody Mary Bible Brunch".

Serving the Region

At Regional Assembly this fall, we'll vote on filling positions on the Regional Administrative Board as well as the Mission Focus Team. In addition, we'll vote on regional officers similar to the ones at Chalice: Moderator, Vice Moderator, Corporate Secretary, and Treasurer. Most positions require a meeting a couple of times a year, usually in Casa Grande. If you're interested in learning more about any of the positions or making a nomination, talk to Jim Barton.

Just a Reminder
I'm almost always at church during regular office hours. (If I'm not, Liz knows when I'll be back!) I'm often here at other times throughout the week, but check in with me if you need me to be here. I generally work from home on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Friday is my sabbath, so you should tell me to go home if I'm around!

peace--Abby

Giving to the Church
When you write a check to the church, it really helps out the finance team if you add a memo for what it's for. We only use two designations: building and general. While you may have pledged in a particular way, writing on your check eliminates the guesswork.
