A Few Words

When did you realize you loved art and wanted to be an artist? 
When I was in 2nd grade I entered a children’s art contest at the local gift shop.  I won first prize, which was a giant stuffed Easter Bunny that I was thrilled to schlepp on the bus to school for “show and tell”. 
 
What is your favorite way to get your creative mojo flowing? 
I don’t know where I heard this, but when you are in a rut it is the best time to paint.  When I have tried this it has worked for me. I try and practice techniques and not get so focused on creativity…and then it usually comes.  

Which work of yours is your favorite?
I think that my favorite is always the most recent one that I painted and signed.  I don’t sign them if I don’t like them. And I have a pile of paintings unsigned!

Share something that few people know about you:I love art, but I also have a passion for interior design. I worked as a Kitchen and Bath Designer for over 10 years and still enjoy a career in the industry.
