Recruitment 2016

Can you believe it is already July? Recruitment workshop for the Gamma Zeta chapter at LSU is less than a month away. There are several changes and many ways in which we can help make their recruitment the best yet.  

• Preference Preview: The ladies of Gamma Zeta have invited all alumnae to participate in a preference preview from 6-7:30 pm on Friday, August 12 at the DG house. The event will feature a reception followed by a mock recruitment exercise to help the ladies perfect their recruitment conversations.  Save the date and stay tuned for more information, including a RSVP form!  
• Sponsor Forms: Sponsor forms can be downloaded from the Delta Gamma website. If you have trouble downloading from this site, simply email us at brdeltagammas@gmail.com and we will send you a copy. 
• Rec Writing Party: Join us for our annual writing party on Thursday, July 21 at the Gamma Zeta house. Stop by anytime between 5:30-7:30 pm to complete sponsor forms, drop of completed sponsor forms, visit with your sisters, and tour the house. 
• Milk & Cookies: During recruitment week, we will be taking goodies to the collegians on August 14. If you are interested in baking and/or being on-hand to deliver the cookies to the house, please email brdeltagammas@gmail.com. 
• Save the date: Bid Day will be Saturday, August 20 with the theme Camp Delta Gamma: Let the Adventure Begin!  All alumnae and legacies are welcome to attend. Parking is extremely limited, so please consider carpooling and anticipate a long walk to the house.

Convention Congratulations!

In late June, hundreds of Delta Gammas from across the globe gathered in Orlando, Florida to celebrate the 67th Biennial Convention. Region 3, Gamma Zeta and the Baton Rouge alumnae chapter were very well represented. To see more pictures, take a look at our Facebook album. 

During the Region 3 meeting, several awards were given out, including:

• Excellence in Philanthropy: Fundraising - Gamma Zeta - LSU
• Outstanding Advisory Team - Gamma Zeta - LSU
• Outstanding Adviser - Jill Roshto, Gamma Zeta Honor Board Adviser and Recruitment Extraordinaire
• Excellence in Programming Innovation - Baton Rouge alumnae chapter
• Outstanding Alumnae Officer - Melissa Thompson, president of the Baton Rouge alumnae chapter
