That's about all we can tell you right now, but watch this newsletter & your email for future news about these partnerships! We hope you will consider participating in the Giving Challenge as a new donor or a repeat donor - your financial support is greatly appreciated! And there will once again be opportunities to GROW your contributions with matches. It's an exciting time coming up in September!
The 2016 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, as well as support from Manatee

Curator's Corner

Unheard Stories Oral History Project is an initiative begun by the Manatee County Clerk's Office Historical Resources Department, Manatee County Agricultural Museum, and Palmetto Historical Park to collect the stories of agriculturalists, minorities, and long time residents of our community.

We have collected a few stories over the past year, but are looking for greater participation in the project. We are looking for individuals who have people in their lives that need their stories preserved.

We are conducting an Oral History Training in conjunction with the Palmetto Historical Park on Tuesday, July 19th, 6pm-8pm at the Carnegie Library with refreshments provided. If you would like to attend, please call the Museum so that we are prepared for you!  And if you'd like to learn but can't attend a group training, please call so we can work with you individually.  721-2034
