Emma Bound exhibition opens at the Saskatchewan Craft Council
The Saskatchewan Craft Council is excited to present Emma Bound, an exhibition featuring work by artists participating in the prestigious Emma 2016 International Collaboration, as well as invited guest artists.
The Emma International Collaboration is a convergence of artists from all over the world: Australia, Curacao, Denmark, France, New Zealand, Switzerland, USA, Canada and beyond. This incredible event is a fusion of technique, creativity, and inspiration! The weeklong residency takes place in the heart of the beautiful Boreal Forest in Northern Saskatchewan, inspiring works in mixed media, fibre, glass, metal, wood, painting, and photography. Artists at various stages of their careers are challenged to step outside their art practice, to explore, experiment and collaborate. TheEmma Bound exhibition, at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery, showcases excellent examples from the artists’ own personal art practice.
Please join us at the Saskatchewan Craft Council on the evening of Tuesday July 26, from 7 to 9 pm, for a public reception and celebration!ÂÂ
Both alive and a silent auction will take place at the Holy Family Cathedral in Saskatoon on Thursday, August 4 to support the continuation of Emma International Collaboration. Attend the auction and rub shoulders with the artists. View and bid on one-of-a-kind, eclectic, dynamic and imaginative pieces. Take home a piece of the magic and help fund future collaborations.
