Over the past several months, we've been working with Suman Chakravartula and his dev team to be able to launch their open-source NAS operating system, Rockstor.
What a lot of people find most exciting about Rockstor is that it is Linux-based and unlocks the potential of Btrfs.
We're excited to announce that Rockstor is now officially available as an OS on our Storinator NAS Appliances! (In addition to the traditional OS option previously available, FreeNAS).
Partnering with Suman and the Rockstor team is a great fit - they are as committed as we are to developing rock-solid solutions that work for the storage community, and continually improving through feedback.
Find out why 45 Drives' R&D engineer Brett Kelly loves Rockstor on our Storinators in his latest blog post, which includes performance benchmarks! Read Brett's blog post.
