Chris Chelgren

Chris is Roseville String Ensemble’s Principal Violist and Assistant Conductor. He will perform Hindemith's haunting Trauermusik, written to commemorate the passing of Britain's King George V.  Chris is a member of the Amber Quartet and also plays with the St. Andrew's Orchestra, the Mississippi Valley Orchestra, and the pit orchestra for the Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. He studied viola with Stella Anderson in Minneapolis, and later with Charles Gray at St. Olaf College.
